      In the chemistry lab, all sorts of glassware, heaters, balances and lots of analytical equipment. In the materials lab, test equipment to measure the properties of materials, basically machines which can stretch, squash, bash and bend materials and measure how much force they are applying while they do this.

      Well, first things first, my computer! I make all sorts of calculations using computer programming software on my computer. I work with Argo floats – they take measurements in the ocean and then send that information to satellites, which then email me the measurements! I then have to use computer programing to make sense of that information!
