• Question: why do you want to find a better material for knee replacements?

      Today’s metal knee replacements only last about 10 years. That was fine when people had knee replacements in their 60’s and 70’s and only lived for another 10 years. Today however, people are living for 30 years or more after a knee replacement. The new material when used as a knee replacement is expected to last at least this long.
